Meteora is a complex of huge paleolithic rocks that exceed 600 meters in height and are home to one of the most important monastic communities in Greece.  It is a unique destination of amazing natural beauty in the area of Kalambaka located in the prefecture of Trikala and it has been on the list of UNESCO’s world heritage sites since 1989.
