The capital of the Greek state from 1827 to 1834, it is a pole of attraction for thousands of visitors at all times of year. The excursion includes a visit to the Hill of Tiryns, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, at the castle of Palamidi, which is preserved in excellent condition at a height of 216 meters above the city of Nafplion and Akronaflia, where the old Nafplion is built. Bourtzi, a castle located on the small island of Agios Theodoros 400 meters from the dock of the port of Nafplion, is another point of interest.
